From creepy to kooky, there’s a fun bag of Friday night movies in store this February. Take a look at what’s coming up on Friday nights at 21:00 on M-Net channel 101.

Mother’s Instinct

7 February
Based on a Belgian film based on a Belgian book, this eerie thriller stars Anne Hathaway and Jessica Chastain as two mothers, housewives, and best friends. However, their friendship starts unravelling after a tragic event that unleashes waves of suspicion and paranoia.

She Came to Me

14 February
It’s a double whammy of Anne Hathaway, as the second week of February (and Valentine’s Day) gives us this offbeat romantic comedy about an opera composer and his unusual muse, a tugboat operator. Starring as the latter is Marisa Tomei, with Peter Dinklage as the composer. Hathaway plays his wife, a pedantic psychiatrist whose patients drive her up the wall. Together this eclectic trio deliver a fresh, cheeky take on the rom-com.

Marmalade

21 February
The offbeat romance continues in this heist film starring Joe Keery and Camila Morrone as a couple planning an audacious bank robbery. Written and directed by actor Keir O’Donnell, this film marks his directorial debut.

Drive-Away Dolls

28 February
Ethan Coen, one half of the famed Coen Brothers filmmaking duo, goes solo as director for this road trip caper. This time his writing partner is also not his brother, but his wife, Tricia Cooke. At the centre of the action are Margaret Qualley and Geraldine Viswanathan, the titular characters, who go on a road trip in a car that drives them to a whole load of trouble.
