SAHPRA Announces Citro-Soda Regular Recall

The recall comes almost a month after Carte Blanche raised questions about potential contamination of Citro-Soda lemon flavour products at Adcock Ingram's Clayville manufacturing plant.

The South African Health Products Regulatory Authority (SAHPRA) has announced the recall of "specified batches of Citro-Soda amid safety concerns". The following will be removed from shelves and consumers are urged to take their purchased items to the point of purchase for a refund or exchange. 

  • Citro-Soda Granules Regular 60g
  • CitroSoda Granuales Regular 120g
  • Citro-Soda Granules Regular 4g x 30 sachets

Only products from Adcock Ingram's Clayville manufacturing plant are impacted. Find a full list of recalled products with their batch numbers HERE.
