Sounds like a dream, right? Relax, it’s not a dream, we’ve got you covered with our April Sunday night movie line-up.

The Garfield Movie

Your favourite lasagne-loving, couch-occupying, sarcastic, orange and black-striped cat is back on the big screen, with an all-new cast. This time, Chris Pratt of Jurassic World fame voices the loveable feline who embarks on an unforgettable adventure. What’s in store? Garfield and his faithful pal Odie get kidnapped – or should we say pet napped!? Plus, we get to meet Garfield’s pops! Get ready for a hilariously thrilling adventure on Sunday 6 April at 20:05 on M-Net.

Fun fact: During a scene in the movie, Garfield is shown as a kitten crossing the street. He passes by a store called Lorenzo's Music Store, which is a nod to Garfield's original voice actor, Lorenzo Music.

Venom: The Last Dance

Superhero and comic book fans will be pleased to hear that Tom Hardy is back as the super-complex and heroic Venom/Eddie Brock in this third movie of the Venom franchise. This time, Brock and Venom face vicious monsters from Venom’s realm and find out that supervillain Knull (played by the remarkable Andy Serkis) is the mastermind behind it all. With a dangerous mission at hand, they must defeat the darkness for good and save New York City. Venom: The Last Dance takes over your screen on Sunday 13 April at 20:05 on M-Net.

5lbs of Pressure

5lbs of Pressure takes us back to New York, just like Venom: The Last Dance, but this time we visit the streets of Brooklyn. The movie tells the story of ex-convict Adam (Luke Evans) who, after serving his prison sentence, returns to his hometown in New York City to face the demons of his past. He hopes to patch things up with his estranged son Jimmy (Rudy Pankow), while trying to stay clear of the drug and gang-fuelled streets. There’s just one other problem ... someone wants him dead! With so much at stake, Adam must make the right choices, but will he? Tune in for 5lbs of Pressure on Sunday 20 April at 20:05 on M-Net.

Aftermath

Dylan Sprouse stars in this riveting action-thriller that will keep you on the edge of your seat. Army veteran Eric (Sprouse) and his sister are caught in an explosion on the Tobin Memorial Bridge. Soon, they discover the assailants behind the explosion have taken drivers hostage, and a cat-and-mouse game begins. Every minute is vital, as they race against the clock to stay alive – one wrong move could cost them their lives. If you enjoyed The Wave and Final Destination 5, then this one is might satisfy you. Watch Aftermath on Sunday 27 April at 20:05 on M-Net.
