Season 13 of Chicago Fire, season 10 of Chicago Med and season 12 of Chicago PD all premiere on M-Net on Tuesday 25 February from 19:00, combining for the ultimate night of procedural drama, action and heroics.
Season 12 of Chicago Fire concluded with the resignation of District Chief Wallace Boden (Eamonn Walker). Stepping into the leadership role at Firehouse 51 this season is Chief Dom Pascal (Dermot Mulroney) and early rumours are that his leadership style is nothing like Boden’s, which rattles some cages. Chicago Fire showrunner Andrea Newman told NBC Insider that season 13 marks a new era for the firefighters. “Though the core family is still together in lots of ways, they will need each other to manage the twists and turns ahead. Fans can expect some darker themes, with new challenges, battles, and thrills as things get shaken up at 51!"
Season 9 of Chicago Med saw Dr Marcel stepping away from surgery after he found out about his patient and his patient's father dying. His admission to Maggie Lockwood that he had a daughter who died brings what happened closer to home and puts his future at the hospital in doubt. Dr Mitch Ripley’s path is also unclear. After settling his medical lawsuit with Pawel Wapniarski, things seemed to be on the up, but when Wapniarski turned up at the hospital emergency room after being beaten by a masked man with a baseball bat, accusations started flying. The escalating situation left Dr Charles stuck in the middle, which has implications for his romantic relationship and his relationship with Dr Ripley.
Led by the tough but fair Sergeant Hank Voight, the Chicago PD team is committed to seeking justice and cracking down on crime to make Chicago a safer place, but they’ll have to do it without Detective Hailey Upton. Beat cop Kiana Cool (Toya Turner) joins the team, as does Deputy Chief Charlie Reid (Shawn Hatosy). The premiere, titled Ten Ninety-Nine, picks up just a month after Voight’s close, season-ending brush with death, with Intelligence overwhelmed with cases as they catch a high-stakes drug bust.
